LTC Renewals Information:
  • HB 48 eliminates the requirement for LTC Renewals. If you would like to attend a refresher course to update yourself on the current laws classes provided for ONLY $45.00, You are not required to test or fire
  • If you would like to fire, add $15.00
Initial LTC
  • Texas state law requires the LTC classroom instruction must be from 4-6 hours
  • Range qualification may be an additional time beyond classroom time
  • Topics That Will Be Covered:
    • Laws that relate to weapons and the use of deadly force
    • Handgun use and safety including: Care/cleaning of the handgun, use of restraint holsters for securing open carry guns
    • Non-violent dispute resolution
    • Proper storage practices for handguns with an emphasis on helping to eliminate the possible injury to a child

    Cost:
    • $80 and $70 for military (range fees are included)
    • $50 On-Line Course Range Proficiency Portion (range fees are included). A 1-2 hour Safety Brief is required by Texas state LTC law.
    • Preferred forms of payment: Cash/Check or PayPal (kcrozier78247@att.net) - If using PayPal $85 per person
    • There is no requirement to own a handgun to take the course
    • Gun rental with 1 box of ammo: $30
    • Ammo only: $20/box (available ammo: .22/.380/9MM)

    What do I need to bring:
    • Semi-automatic handgun or a revolver in good repair (unloaded and in a case)
    • 22 caliber handgun or above (You may shoot with a semi-automatic handgun or revolver and carry either one)
    • Baseball Cap (recommended)
    • Impact Resistant Safety Glasses (can be provided)
    • Ear Protection (can be provided)
    • Footwear that covers both entire feet
    • At least 50 rounds of ammunition specific to the handgun that will be used for the course
    • Snacks/drinks

    • Put Your Firearm Down On the Ground Or On The Table (If necessary)
    • Bend Over
    • Grab Your Shirt/Bra and Pull Away From Your Body
