Texas Signs
License To Carry (LTC) Highlights:
  • Knowledge of Texas Carry Laws/Use Of Force/Conflict Resolution/Safety-Securing The Handgun
  • Proof Of Handgun Proficiency (In Court)
  • Campus Carry
  • School Zone Carry
  • Protection From 30.5 Signage/"No Guns" Signs
  • Legal Form of ID
  • Reciprocity With Other States
  • Bypass The NICS Background Check
  • Provided an “Oopsies” at the airport having a gun in their carry-on luggage
  • Allowed To Carry In A Governmental Entity Meeting (Texas Open Meeting)
Constitutional Carry Highlights:
  • Can NEVER carry into hospitals, nursing homes, churches, and amusement parks
  • Cannot carry into a meeting of a governmental entity
  • Cannot carry within 1,000 feet of a school PROPERTY (Federal Law)
    **** Cannot drive by any school, walk on the street, sidewalk, drop off or pick up your child with your handgun
  • Cannot carry beyond a 30.05 (Criminal Trespass)
  • No reciprocity
  • May not be able to carry in other Constitutional Carry states (ex: Maine does not allow nonresidents to Constitutional Carry)
  • Automatically arrested if you accidentally carry the gun pass the TSA secured are of the airport (no “Oopsies”)
  • “Gun Buster”/any No Guns Allowed signage are now legal

Changes:
  • A LTC holder may carry into an open meeting of a governmental entity (unless the meeting is held in an off-limits location)
  • Anyone in Texas may Constitutional Carry (residents and non-residents)
  • Simplified Holster Requirement: open carried guns may be in ANY type of holster (the shoulder or belt holster requirement has been removed)
  • Holsters in cars will be allowed. The gun MUST be in an actual holster
  • The blue TABC sign will be required to be removed: (this might take a while for all stores to comply. However, will not be enforceable)
